A career in electrical systems
Before joining Soitec, I worked in various companies, from installation to project management. These experiences gave me solid expertise in electrical systems and project management. In 2022, the opportunity to join Soitec came as a chance to work in an innovative and technologically advanced environment. Since 2024, I have held the position of Electrical Engineer within the Facilities department, in the electricity division.
A variety of technical challenges
My role is to ensure the maintenance and optimization of the company’s electrical installations. The goal: to guarantee a reliable and secure infrastructure, able to meet production needs at all times.
What I particularly enjoy about my job is the opportunity to solve complex problems and contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical systems. The diversity of technical challenges and the direct impact of my work on the company’s operational efficiency are constant sources of motivation.
Scouting, a mission of commitment and transmission
Alongside my work, I am also a scout leader for the “Louveteaux-Jeannettes,” a group for children aged 8 to 11. The aim is to help them grow through educational and fun activities, developing autonomy, a sense of responsibility, and, above all, values of respect, solidarity, and commitment.
My role is to organize and lead activities for the group: outings, games, camps, and more. We prepare weekend events, themed days, and a one-week summer camp. This commitment takes about one weekend per month, plus a few preparation meetings throughout the year. I have now been involved in this mission for three years.
It was my daughter’s entry into the scouts that inspired me to get involved. The group was lacking leaders, and it was a wonderful opportunity to share experiences with her while contributing in a meaningful way.
When volunteering and work come together
This experience has given me another form of leadership, working with young people in their development. Listening and pedagogy are qualities that also serve me at Soitec. Conversely, my engineering background helps me structure activities, handle unforeseen situations, and move forward with method. These two worlds complement each other and bring me real enrichment.
The best moments are those spent at camp or on outings: seeing the children discover nature, learn to live together, and get excited about simple things. These are powerful memories, both for them and for us.
And beyond all that?
Outside of work and volunteering, I enjoy spending time with my family and practicing outdoor activities such as mountain hiking, cycling, mountaineering, and traveling. These activities help me find balance and energy. In the future, I would like to join the French Alpine Club and eventually become a certified mountain guide. Another way of transmitting and sharing, in a setting that truly inspires me.
